Five Wonderful Things We Have

Titus 2:11-15 (KJV)

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

In verse 11 we have the first advent

In verse 13 we have the promise of the second advent.

1. We have a wonderful Savior Vs 13

2. We have a wonderful grace Vs 11

3. We have a wonderful conversionVs 14

4. We are a wonderful people Vs 14

5. We have a wonderful prospect Vs 13

Don't Let Jesus Slip By

by Bro Jimmy Moize

Hebrews 2:1 (KJV)

We Must Guard Against Inattention and Neglect of God's Message Through His Son

1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

1. Don't let the Son slip

2. Don't let his Seat slip

3. Don't let his Sovereignty slip

4. Don't let his Scepter slip

Paul The Servant

Romans 1:1-16

Paul is one of the greatest New Testament Christian.

Paul never thought more highly of himself that he should.

Paul was a bond servant to the Lord.

1. A slave set free

2. A slave who loved his master

3. A slave who deliberately chose his master.

I. Paul became a servant to his Lord

II. Paul was a servant to the lost

III. Paul was a servant to his brethren

Romans 1:1-16 (KJV)

1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Asking the Wrong Questions

To Whom Shall We Go

Ask the Right Question

This has been one of the most dangerous weeks in our country's history.

We have had many attacks during our history but now the attacks are coming from inside our country. We are seeing just how fragile our nation has become.

There are many questions being asked because of the events of this past week. We will examine questions and find out which question really should be asked first.

I. What Is Going On?

A. In my opinion, there is a worldwide attempt to destroy this country.

B. Thank God for our men and women in service to keep us safe.

C. What is going on is a legitimate question but just not the right one to ask first.

II. What Are We Going To Do?

A. When we come to the end of our physical understanding we asked this question.

B. When we come to the end of our finances we ask this question

C. We should prepare for possible problems

D. This is a legitimate question but not the first question to be asked.

III. What Is Going To Happen?

A. We will remember and repent or

B. We will ruin

C. This also is a legitimate question but not the right question.

IV. Is There Anybody Else Sane?

Again not the right question

V. John 6:68 To Whom Shall We Go?

A. This is the right questions to ask first.

B. He should be your first choice

C. We usually try every thing else before him.

John 6:64-68 (KJV)

64.But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

65.And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

66.From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

67.Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

68.Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

Give Me Your Body

Romans 12:1-2

Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)

We Want to Please God Because of His Mercies

1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

With our mind we learn

With our heart we love

With our body we are labor

We give our heart to Jesus for salvation and we give our body for service.

1.The Appeal—I beseech you

2.The Action—Present your bodies

3.The Argument—Reasonably service

4.The Attitude—Be not conformed

5.The Ability—Prove God's Perfect will

God Requires The Old Paths

Jeremiah 6:16 (KJV)

16.Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Judah had a Pattern of Rebellion

Jeremiah 3:6-11 (KJV)

6.The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.

7.And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.

8.And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

9.And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.

10.And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD.

11.And the LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah.

Jeremiah was Preaching Repentance

Jeremiah 3:12 (KJV)

12.Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever.

Jeremiah 3:22 (KJV)

22.Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God.

Jeremiah 4:1 (KJV)

1.If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove.

Jehovah has Paths of Righteousness

Jeremiah 6:16 (KJV)

16.Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
